What is Tencel ? How made Tencel ?

Lyocell is the latest addition of the series of regenerated cellulosic fiber. Commercially it known as Tencel. It has all conventional properties as like viscose in addition to its much praised encironmentaenv friendly production medhod. The solvent used is based on non-toxic N-methyl moepholine oxide used in a recycleable closed loop system, which unlike the viscose process avoids discharge of waste. Highly absorbent derivatives  of Tencel known as Hydrocell are establishing a foothold in wound dressing and other medical-related areas of Textiles.
